Lisa Cooper

An accomplished and highly skilled pilates practitioner with a deep passion for both precision pilates and equestrian athleticism. With over 20 years of experience in the field, Lisa is dedicating her career to adapting the principles of pilates to enhance the performance and well-being of equestrian athletes.
Lisa’s journey into the world of pilates began when she discovered the transformative power of the practice in her own life. Inspired through the study of Swiss Body pilates, a methodology renowned for its emphasis on precision, alignment, control, and efficiency of movement. Recognising the immense potential for applying these principles to equestrian sports, Lisa developed a specialised program tailored specifically to the needs of riders.
Lisa has successfully integrated precision pilates techniques with the unique demands of equestrian athletes. Her programs focus on developing core strength, flexibility, balance, and body awareness—crucial elements that contribute to the rider’s stability and connection with their horse. By incorporating exercises that target specific muscle groups used in riding, Lisa helps riders optimise their performance, prevent injuries, and achieve a harmonious partnership with their horses. Beyond her expertise in pilates, Lisa’s 10 years of riding contributes to her understanding of the equestrian world and enables her to connect with riders on a deeper level.
Today, Lisa inspires and empowers equestrian athletes through her work at the Hub in adapting pilates to their unique needs. Her focus is on enhancing the physical and mental well-being of riders and challenging the way equestrians approach pilates and performance.
